meTwit is twitter client based on java mobile.

Communication between meTwit and twitter server is indirectly and using gateway to preserve GPRS data remains small. Estimated data for each communications is about 2-4kB (without gateway will be more than 10kB).

To prevent password theft use OAuth login. (how to oauth login with meTwit ?)

We don't store any usernames or passwords for any reason.
meTwit ONLY store your username and password on your device if you choose "remember password" option.
